Dove Nutrium Moisture Body Wash Review + Giveaway

21 November 2011

I believe in pedicures.  And massages.  And haircuts with the awesome scalp massage, you know the ones that almost put you to sleep they’re so good?  These things make me happy.  They make me feel pampered and cared for.  They do for my physical well-being what friendships and reading and a full night’s sleep do for my mental well-being. The older I get, the more I realize how important these things are.

It is vital to take time for yourself.  Not just for the big pampering events like pedicures and massages, but a small moment each day.  Even five minutes can make a world of difference.  It preserves my sanity.  Maybe your five minutes is in the wee hours of the morning before the rest of the house is awake?  Or while the kids take a nap?  Or in your office, sipping coffee with the door closed before a big meeting?

My daily quiet time is in the shower.  I close the door, turn on the shower, and decompress.  Those uninterrupted five minutes are sometimes the best of my day… and then my four year old, Finn, usually bursts in and asks if I am done yet.

We are loyal Dove customers, so when Dove offered to have me try the Dove Nutrium Body Wash, I jumped at the chance.  Usually we buy the giant pack of Dove Beauty Bars at Costco.  Truthfully, I wanted to see if the body wash was good enough to make me abandon my beloved bar.

022

It is silky with a nice lather that rinses clean.  It feels great on your skin and it has the same neutral, fresh smell that the bars do.  That is important for us because Dave takes issue with smelling like a girl.  My skin smells great and feels super soft after using it.

The verdict?  We’ll keep using it, but Dave wants the bar as well.  His only issue was that he uses the bar to wash his face and he found that the body wash didn’t suit his face washing.  {And yes, no matter how hard I try or how many fancy face washes I buy, he still uses soap!}

Dove wants to give a $100 SpaFinder gift card to one lucky So Wonderful, So Marvelous reader so you can enjoy some pampering!  Just leave a comment telling me how you nourish yourself each day.

I love the smell of Dove! Such a clean and comfortable scent... Kind of like clean, warm laundry. Does that sound weird?

But the way that I nourish myself each day is to read. Once my husband and daughter head to bed, I get nice and comfy with whatever book I picked up from the library and get to reading!

What a great review post. :)

I nourish myself each day by setting time aside for myself to plan and meditate. It's a great way to unwind and relax.

I'm a Dove girl too! I nourish myself for a few quiet minutes before bed. I thank God for the blessings in my life and the grace to be the best person I can be the next day. And then I mentally run down my to-do list, which is not always so nourishing, but necessary. :)

Well - I could sure use a little free pampering! I try to give myself time to cuddle with Boo Boo, have a glass of milk and MOISTURIZE. ;)

Thanks Michelle for being so awesome!

I have never been much of a bar soap person but I love me a good body wash! I'm going to have to try this one. My few minutes of sanity is in the car, listening to my podcasts. It really does calm me down, even if I am sitting in traffic.

I write every day. It's amazing the details and things you remember when you force yourself to sit down and write, non-stop, for 15 minutes.

At the moment just getting enough sleep is a bit of struggle so sleeping is the closest I get to nourishing myself, the challenge has actually been to stay in bed in the early morning, i've got so much to do that it's difficult not to leap out of bed at first light.

I am a Florida beach girl, living well above sea level in mile high Denver Colorado. the air is dry at this altitude, and my hair and skin takes a beating in all four seasons.. winter being the worst.
so by drinking plenty of water, i'm on my way to nourishing my body..to continue nourishment of my body,I try to eat a balanced daily diet rich in fresh fruits and veggies.
On the outside,i nourish the skin and hair with proper seasonal moisturizers for each.as well as sunscreen all year long..
I nourish my mind with positive thinking, reading and to keep it very active to stave off Alzheimers , I work puzzles both crosswords and crytograms..in INK!
To nourish my soul, long walks with my Nikon camera to contemplate the beauties of nature, talking with and thanking my God for such an unlimited array of breathtaking subjects..
