Cranberry Sauced, Thanksgiving Drinks.

My sister Lyndsey used to be a bartender.  I asked her to come up with a few fun Thanksgiving drinks, she also gave them fun drunken theme names because that is how we do it around these parts.  Believe me when I say that the testing has been fun.  Drunk in mid-afternoon?  A little bit.

The first is called Cranberry Sauced and I could see after two of these, hanging out with your mother in law might be a little less painful… of course, I mean your mother in law and not my mother in law.  Hi, Sue!

You will need:

  • 2 oz cranberry vodka
  • 1 teaspoon green apple vodka
  • 2 oz cranberry juice
  • ice
  • orange or clementine slices

Add cranberry vodka, green apple vodka, cranberry juice and Ice to a cocktail shaker {a cup with a lid would work as a substitute here} and shake until ice cold.  Go around the outside of a martini glass rim with an orange wedge, then rest it on the outside of the glass.  {If you like yours super sweet, you can also dip into sugar at this point.}  Strain ice and pour into glass.  Serve immediately.

  3. I hope my in-laws don't read your blog. Do you think anyone would notice if I took a thermos full of this to Thanksgiving?
