Currently Craving.

I should really learn to stay off TasteSpotting because it is, without a doubt, food porn at its finest.  It also makes me want to {attempt to} cook things like Pumpkin Gnocchi and Grand Marnier Souffles which I am clearly not capable of doing.

I also blame autumn.  And cold weather while we’re at it.

Stace posted about roasting a chicken in the crockpot and the very next day after cajoling the recipe out of her,  I made a roasted chicken in the crockpot.  And the day after that?  Homemade chicken stock.

This weekend I’m making a spice cake for Oma’s birthday.

What kind of deliciousness have you been cooking lately?

Pumpkin Pancakes

Roasted Garlic

Butternut Squash Soup with Pear, Cider, & Vanilla Bean

Butterbeer

Pumpkin Cupcakes with Salted Caramel Buttercream

Chile Roasted Feta & Watermelon

Blueberry Crumble Cake

Pretzel Bread

  1. See, it just makes me want to pay someone to make it for me. I usually go check out the menu at some of our local finer restaurants in the hopes that someone will have my fall favorites. Because if I make it, it will not go well!

  2. I am so not happy with you, Michelle!!! Butterbeer? Pretzel Bread? Blueberry Crumblecake? And now a link to tastespotting! I just lost 36 Lbs. 36 Lbs, Michelle! Just seeing pictures of all those scrumptious food makes me GAIN weight. *stamps my foot* ;-)

Seriously though, thank you for the recipes! I am definitely going to try the butterbeer!!!

I had planned to start Zumba tonight anyway, so I think I can handle looking at the pictures...

  3. I made my version of Ina Garten's Turkey Lasagna and a riff on Rachel Ray's Turkey Goulash - I hate that RR, but the goulash is now part of the rotation, go figure!

  4. I have made pot roast, chicken dumplings, pot pie, Meatball Subs, and pumpkin parfaits.

I adore huge Fall meals. This year I am actually tackling Thanksgiving for two (our family will be out of town).

  6. Oh, I had some extra pumpkin from when I made some pumpkin smoothies the other day - now I'm going to use it to make pumpkin pancakes - YUM! Thank you for the idea!

I dove head first into some fall cooking last weekend - linguine with garlicky clam sauce, and the best one: Mexican Fiesta Chicken with Jalapeno Dumplings. Mmmmmmmmm, so good!
