Fancy a Biscuit?

I came home last evening and sitting on my front porch was the most delectable assortment of goodies one could hope to come home to. They were packaged with care in gorgeous little takeaway boxes all labeled with fancy writing and gorgeous ribbon. Inside, oh inside, were cheese rounds, spice cakes, fruitcake, and peanut butter bones. Peanut butter bones?? Alas, these goodies were not for me, but for all of the four legged family members from Biscuit a new endeavour of my friend Stephanie.

Hopefully the family pooches aren't reading my blog today so we don't spoil the Christmas surprise, but these treats are so fantastic that I had to share... even if Monty won't. He scarfed down a spice cake as soon as the package was undone. Steph bakes each and every treat herself and they are all human friendly, natural ingredients, the perfect present for your pampered furry friends. Stuff My Stocking Baby

So my husband is usually stocking challenged. He tries. Really he does, but he doesn't get the idea of a fun little tresure filled sock of delightful goodies. I think it is because I was spoiled. My mother is, to this day, the best stocking filler in the world. She searches out all manner of lovelies year round and saves them up. To tell you the truth, my sister and I look forward to the stockings more than any gift under the tree. So alas, darling husband, here is a tutorial for stuffing my stocking with the best little treasures this year.

Lorac Lip Polish in BLISS from Sephora. Sure, at $17.50 it is a little pricey, but it is gorgeous and my new haircut is sassy enough to warrant a sassy little lip gloss to go with it.

Chocolates... specifically Guylian Belgian, the fruits de mer collection please. You can get them online at a million places, try au Marche. For Darling Husband, you can find them locally at the Andersons and I think Walt Churchill's Market might carry them as well. The little four piece sampler box should fit nicely in my stocking.

A new pair of mary jane style slipper socks! I bought the cutest pair at JC Penny on Black Friday and have been wanting another pair ever since. My sister said that Target has them.

If I weren't still nursing, I'd ask for a lovely selection of mini flavored vodkas. There is always next year...
A Martha Stewart acrylic stamp mount, found here and at Michaels. Bonus points for getting some actual stamps to put on it.

I digress, this isn't a stocking stuffer, but how fabulous would these Martha Stewart bowls be in our kitchen? Just the touch of aqua I think we need. *cough* Macy's *cough*
OK, so that gives Darling Husband a start to my stocking lovelies. There are about THREE shopping days left. Waiting till the last minute and shopping at the gas station is really not acceptable this year.

Gourmet How I Love Thee

If you have a foodie in your life, get them a subscription to Gourmet. Amazon has a one year subscription 69% off here. D's grandma sent us a subscription last year and we are absolutely, positively hooked. The recipes are mouthwatering and the photography, outstanding.

One Smart Cookie

We hosted a small cookie swap and ended up with 18 different types of cookies... the top of my yummy list were S'mores Bars and some scrumptious little numbers with white chocolate, cranberries, and pecans. Heaven help my waistline this merry little season. We also got extremely creative with the cutout cookie decorating. What does one do with 18 varieties of cookies you ask?

Ta Da... Christmas gifts for work peeps. I took cello bags, made cute little sticker tags, filled with homemade Chex Mix and cookies galore. It was quick, easy, and everyone likes getting an individual bag for themselves rather than a plate of cookies for the bunch. Tie it with wired ribbon in a fun print.

Here is a close up of the tag. The little bird is on our christmas cards and gift wrap this year, so I added him to these as well.

Coming soon... and you will hardly be able to stand the anticipation... how YOU can get your hands on one of these little ladies. Your very own new to you tampon angel to hang on your tree this year. Made with love by my glue gun wielding fabulous friend Amy. She has promised a tutorial and notes on which tampons to use because apparently, not just any plug will do for these crafty girls. She is hanging proudly on my tree this very moment and soon you can have one on yours. Stay tuned!

Baddest Baby on the Block

That's right. It's Finn. So as soon as my mother found out I was pregnant with a BOY, the first item she purchased was this Kenneth Cole leather jacket. I am 31 and I don't own anything this nice but my 7 month old does. He certainly looks like a little badass though doesn't he?
